Olivia's Breakfast At Tiffany's Birthday Party

Hello Moms! I'm back with a long-overdue post!

Olivia's a year and a half old now, still can't believe how time flies so fast! I've planned to make this blog a milestone diary yet I always fail to live to that. Anyway, I wanna share Olivia's First Birthday Party.

Audrey Hepburn is one of my favorite fashion icons and I've always dreamed of hosting a Breakfast at Tiffany's themed party. Dreams do come true. We celebrated Olivia's first birthday party in Audrey Hepburn Theme last year 26th of August. It became one of the best highlights of my year.

I'll make this as detailed as possible with honest reviews of the services we had for this event.

As far as I could remember, I originally booked a venue at Casa Katreena Backpackers Inn 2 weeks ahead and it turned out to be really disappointing. I confirmed twice the day I booked and reconfirmed a week before only to find out that the venue is already booked to someone else. They claimed that they sent me a message that day I booked but I honestly did not receive anything.

Thankfully, we found another venue quickly with the help of my organizer. She suggested Rue Mango which is just really near our place and within our budget.

Venue: Rue Mango Apartelle and Suites
Rental Fee: Php4000 50 pax for 4 hours.

  • No Corkage
  • Third Party Caterers are welcome
  • Inclusion: Sound System, Lights, 13 6-sitter tables, 70 chairs.
  • Exclusion: Table Cloths. (But you can rent from them. Buffet Table Cloth is Php 200 and Regular sized table cloths is Php 25.)

Honest Review:

The place is decent. Just enough for 50-60 people. The staff are accommodating and we appreciate that they allowed us to extend a little time because we started the program late.

Honest Review:

I've always been a fan of Fayery Concepts services. I first tried their service at my wedding last March and I am very much satisfied. I was also happy with Olivia's party. They again exceeded my expectations. It was a hassle-free successful birthday party.

Birthday Cake:

Olivia's three layer Breakfast at Tiffany themed cake was from Cakes by Corina. We had a little situation before the party, I informed them of the new venue but somehow missed it. It was my fault of not making it clear so they brought the cake to the old venue. In the end, we had it all sorted out. I'd like to thank Ms. Bea for being so patient and understanding about the situation.

Honest Review:

It was a three layer fondant looking cake with 3 dozens of cupcakes and I really couldn't ask for more. It was one of the best tasting cakes I ever tasted. And it was beautifully made!!

I will be having a separate blog post for the review since I worked with them more than a couple of times. But for this coverage, it includes all edited photos sent in a DVD. The photos in this blogpost are from them except the pre birthday shoot.

I will also be having a separate post for the review because the pictures deserve to have the whole page! I am super impressed with the results! I'd like to commend the photographers Gian and Dean for being so patient with Olivia. Olivia was a bit sick during the session but everything turned out well, thanks to them. I'd also like to thank Yummy & Alors for the sweet venue.

Birthday Gowns

Her Audrey Hepburn inspired gown was made by her Ninang Mieg Dugang. It should be Php900 but it was given to her as a birthday gift.

My mommy by heart Jwalkfashion Boutique also sent her an Audrey Hepburn inspired cocktail dress for her pre-birthday shoot.

The food served on her birthday were homecooked as we planned on having just a few people. I am so grateful with Hubby's family since they were the ones who prepared everything.

For Php3500 we had Bihon, Buttered Shrimps, Chicken Afritada, Lumpia, and Spaghetti!
We also had Lechon which we got for Php4000.

I also would like to thank my sister for her efforts of making Olivia's extra lootbags!

The overall cost of the party is Php22,150 excluding her gowns and the cake.

It was a magical night for all of us. It may not be as grand but it was the party I dreamed of having since I was a kid. Thank you to everyone who came and made it happened. It also may not be remembered by our Olivia but I hope these photos will tell her how we love her so much.

Her 2nd birthday is fast approaching too. Can you guess our next birthday theme?
